Gone are the days when all flower shops were single locations owned by local florist. You can still easily find these types of stores, but there are an increasing number of floral chains. Since many of these floral chains have locations in many countries, we have witnessed the rise of international flower delivery. You can go into a flower shop in your home town, and if they have locations in other countries, you can easily order an international flower delivery. As well, the costs of international flower delivery are not much higher than local delivery, as they already have the inventory at the other locations. They simply need to tell their other locations about the order. This system has made international flower delivery both easy and affordable.
Another aspect leading to the increase in international flower delivery is the use of the internet. Since you can access a website from anywhere in the world as long as you have a working internet connection, you can easily order from a local florist that is across the world. While that particular florist may not offer international flower delivery, you can order from them from international locations. Many people will question the usefulness of international flower delivery. Almost all flower delivery is still to local locations. However, basic principles of capitalism say that products or services will only be offered if there enough of a market to make it worthwhile. While I have personally never used an international flower delivery service, I take comfort in knowing that they exist in case I one day need one.
